Senior Specialist Technology Security

Senior Specialist: Technology Security role 
is based within Technology 

Role Purpose: This role will involve working with stakeholders in Vodacom Corporate IT, Mobile and Enterprise Business domains as well as Vodacom Technology Group to provide security technical guidance, and compliance oversight. 

Your 
responsibilities will include:

To ensure Security is embedded in ITSystem and Network Infrastructure (Mobile and Fix) including planning, designing, building and reviewing cycle
To define, implement and efficiently maintain Technology Security controls and requirements across Vodacom Technology Group
To build strong team of engaged, motivated technology security experts
To ensure compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements
To fulfil Key Customers obligations and Stakeholders expectation
To ensure timely delivery of Technology Security consultancy and support for projects.
Provide guidance in appropriately securing IT Systems and Networks (fix and mobile)
Provide thought leadership and offer innovative ideas and solutions to resolve various Technology Security issues
Create execution strategies that focuses on embedding Technology Security controls into existing developer and tester practices and methodologies to enhance effectiveness
Manage a diverse organization of technologists focused on defining intelligence led enabling solutions
Responsible for planning, researching and designing robust security architectures for any IT Systems and Networks (mobile and fix) project
Develop Tech Security controls and requirements for IT Systemsand Networks (mobile and fix)
Ensure financial efficiency in Tech Security Solutions
Provide Tech Security consultancy for Technology and businessprojects
Develop and document TechSecurity controls and requirements for IT Systems and Networks (mobile and fix)
Provide technical supervision and guidance to a Tech Security team
Provide SME input to Tech Security Policy requirements and procedures
Support Tech Security awareness programs andeducational efforts
Respond immediately to Tech Security-related incidents and provide a thorough post-event analysis
Provide accurate and timely reporting of architectural solutions, risk findings and propose remediation and mitigation options
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Matric - essential
3 year National Diploma/degree in a relevant qualification
An industry certification
The CISSP is strongly preferred
In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of 5--7 years of experience in Technology Architecture Security role
Knowledge of common information technology management / compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, SOX, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST.
Knowledge of legal, regulatory andprivacy requirements, such as Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Protection and Payment Card Industry (PCI)/Data Security Standard.
Proven experience managing and operating multiple security programs, projects, and initiatives
An ability to think strategically and drive change
A deep understanding of Technology Security risks and mitigating solutions
A diverse security background with knowledge in several areas including: layered security architecture; internet protocols; firewalls; VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, network access control and networksegmentation, anti-malware and spam technologies; risk and vulnerability assessments, and compliance.
Security concepts related to DNS, routing, authentication, VPN, proxy services and DDOS mitigation technologies
Windows, UNIXand Linux operating systems
Practices and methods of enterprise architecture and security architecture
Network security architecture development anddefinition
Web Security & Encryption
Strong organizational skillsand an entrepreneurial drive with a history of recruiting and developing high-performing teams
Ability to build and manage highly motivated and innovated technical team
Ability to work under time and resource pressure
An ability and desire to communicate and work with a broad set of stakeholders
A customer-focused, responsive, and transparent attitude
